In our ongoing mission to locate the most effective and advanced methods to treat TBI, PTS, and other combat-related injuries and to raise awareness of the veteran suicide epidemic among the Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran community in the US and among our primary allies, we held our first annual ruck march to end veteran suicide in September of 2014 in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Fashion Photo Shoot
We are currently planning a High Fashion Photo Shoot for military veterans in order to create a high-end fashion book. A world famous fashion photographer who has shot some of the top supermodels, A-List celebrities, and sports superstars in the world will undertake this photo shoot. We want to solidify the brand and image of veterans as charismatic leaders in the eyes of the American public and the world. See Lebron Shoot
We are currently working with select local shops to host a cigar social event for our core supporters. This event is invite only and promises to be a great meet and greet.
We are working and partnering with some of the top tech R&D labs in the world in order to bring our veterans the most intriguing and enlightening tech talks and workshops available.
We are actively working with the NYU E-Lab, NYU Idea Lab in Abu Dhabi, and select TED Talks Speakers on creating and effectively delivering these pragmatic sessions, in addition to assisting in the build out of our own R&D lab.
Movie Screening and Workshop
Ross Katz, the award-winning director of the movie “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon, Co-Producer on Sofia Coppola’s “Lost in Translation”, and Director of the new Nicholas Sparks film, “The Promise”, along with select stars and the HBO network, will host a movie screening and technical workshop of his movie “Taking Chance.” The event is by invite only and details will be sent to invitees.
Strongman Workshop Session
We are organizing a strongman training workshop, in collaboration with the Upper East Side location of Equinox Fitness, currently the largest Equinox location in NYC. We have some of the top local strongman trainers and champions as instructors for this workshop. These trainers will ensure the programming is highly customized to meet the rigorous demands of our veteran participants. While the number of participants will be capped to ensure quality programming, we welcome all to come and watch. See World’s Strongest Man 2014 Finals
VEThack will work with educational institutions and international corporations to fund and build a fully equipped, cutting-edge R&D lab. This lab will serve as a place of learning and healing for returning warriors and disabled veterans interested in pursuing careers in technology.
